Educational and Spiritual Opportunities

Are You or Is Someone You Know Interested in Becoming Catholic?

Each year at the Cathedral adults are welcomed into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil through the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). Gatherings for RCIA begin in the fall. You are welcome to join us as we set out on the journey to know God through knowing each other and growing in faith. If you just want to learn more about the RCIA process, or are ready to become Catholic, please contact Pat Wisialowski, Cathedral Pastoral Associate, patwisialowski@stjohncathedral.org, or 414-276-9814.

WOMEN’S SPIRITUALITY OVER LUNCH IN THE ATRIUM

This Ecumenical group meets at noon on the first Friday of each month to discuss an article that was previously distributed. Please join us over the lunch hour in the Atrium! We’ll send you the article and take your lunch order (from Jimmy Johns). We enjoy each other’s comments and company as we reflect on the article, or go wherever the spirit takes us! We are women working downtown, living downtown, “retired” and homemakers! We are a great mix and we like it that way! Contact Pat Wisialowski, Pastoral Associate, 414-276-9814, patwisialowski@stjohncathedral.org for more information or to get on the mailing list for next month’s lunch.

The next discussion will be Friday, June 6, 2008 at 12:00 Noon in the Weakland Center Atrium, entrance is 831 N. Van Buren St. This month’s topic is Chapter 2 "Feminist Women’s Spirituality: Breaking New Ground in the Church" by Miriam Therese Winter; from the book The Church Women Want: Catholic Women in Dialogue Edited by Elizabeth A. Johnson!
