Women's Spirituality

The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist invites you to please join us for our monthly Women’s Spirituality Lunch/Discussion gathering led by Pat Wisialowski, Cathedral Pastoral Associate. Women's Spirituality is a group of women who meet monthly on the First Friday to enjoy intelligent conversations pertinent to current issues in the contemporary church and our world.  Camaraderie, frequent special guests, lively discussions, networking and even luscious desserts are "perks" making this a most worthwhile way to spend a lunch hour. Cousins subs can be ordered for lunch. Come occasionally or come each month!

For more information, please contact Pat Wisialowski, Pastoral Associate at or 414-276-9814, ext. 302

The next meeting will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019.

This month’s topic:
Catherine of Sienna

The fourth Doctor of the Church, Catherine of Siena, remained a lay woman who lived the "tertiary" vocation with the Dominican passion for prayer, preaching and community life with like-minded women. This reinforces potential for lay women today. She carried on an immense written correspondence, often initiated in her role as spiritual director. This was done for the Pope and she averted a schism in the Western Church by bringing the Papacy back to Rome from Avignon, France. Hear encouragement for your life in this conversation led by Sister Karlyn Cauley.

Please RSVP by 12:00 Noon, Thursday, February 28, 2019 to Cathy at or 414/276-9814 ext. 307.

If you are interested in ordering a sandwich from Cousins Subs, please call or email for more information (price is $8.00 each).
