I have been at the Cathedral since 2002 and have been involved in various capacities such as a Eucharistic Minister, Mass Server and as a Minister of Hospitality. I am also in the men’s group and on the committee working with our sister parish, La Sagrada Familia in the Dominican Republic. I enjoy working with the council and staff and getting to know parishioners better in their own love for Christ and the church. I look forward helping others grow in their ministries and in helping shape the future of the parish. I enjoy motorycling, photography, and bicycle racing. I am a civil engineering supervisor at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and graduated from Marquette University in 1998 (BSCE) and 2004 (MBA).
Hans is the current Chair and has served previously as the Vice-Chair, Secretary, and liaison to the Fine Arts Commission. He is in his second year of his second term.
I have been a member of the Cathedral since my baptism, and am thrilled to begin my first term on Pastoral Council. I am a graduate of Marquette University High School, Boston College and the University of Wisconsin Law School, and currently work as an attorney in the labor and employment law practice group at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren. My wife Elizabeth ("Lizzy") and I love life on the Lower East Side and are expecting our first child in March 2019. In addition to my work at the Cathedral, I serve on the Board of Directors of the Hope House--an emergency homeless shelter and rapid rehousing facility located in Walker's Point. As a new Pastoral Council member, I look forward to deepening my ties with the Cathedral community and finding new and exciting ways to bring our faith to life.
Christopher is currently the Vice-Chair. He is in the second year of his first term.
I made the move downtown as an empty nester in 2012 and immediately was drawn to join the Cathedral. My ministries include Altar Server, Women’s Spirituality Group; and Doing Time Together, our ministry to families with incarcerated loved ones. Professionally, I have worked for the federal government for 29 years, and earned a BA at Mount Mary University with a double major in Behavioral Science and Theology. I truly see the Cathedral as the “soul of the city,” and know that working with my fellow parishioners, we can fulfill our mission to make all Christ's disciples!
Mary Ann is the Council Secretary. Mary-Ann is in the second year of her first term.
I have been married to Cindy since 1989. We have been Cathedral members since 1997 and have both served as Altar Servers at the Cathedral since 2000. I am looking forward to helping the Parish in new capacities and pray to have a hand in shaping the future of the Parish. I hold a BS (1982) and MS (1984) in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. (1989) in Biomedical Engineering from Ohio State University. I have been a professor and have likewise taught Biomedical, Computer, and Electrical Engineering courses at the Milwaukee School of Engineering for twenty-two years. I have also served as the program director of Computer Engineering for eight years. I am currently self-employed.
Steve is the liaison to the Stewardship Commission. He is in the first year of his first term.

I am a retired primary care Internest and currently work part-time for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections as a provider of medical services to prisoners. I am a Vietnam War Veteran (Navy and Marine Corps) and have devoted 35 years of volunteer service to the Boy Scouts of America. I have three Eagle Scout sons. My wife, Nancy, and I moved to Milwaukee's East Side six years ago. We are both Eucharistic Ministers and have been involved in Cathedral projects whenever asked.
Gene is a current liaison to the Fine Arts Commission. He is in the third year of his first term.
I am a master electrician by trade and with forty years working in the building trades looking forward to beginning a new phase of my life in retirement. I have been a member of our parish for quite a number years. I have been inspired by three archbishops, four pastors, and many wonderful priests. I was blessed with the excitement of rededication of the Cathedral, as well as enduring mass in the gymnasium during those renovation years. The hospitality of our Cathedral Parish is that wonderful feeling of community that has been a blessing to me, and the catalyst that drives my desire to be involved.
Craig currently serves as a liaison to the Human Concerns Commission. He is in the third year of his first term.
While growing up moving around the world in a Marine Corps family, I have attended a Franciscan grade school, Salesian High school and Jesuit University. After settling in Milwaukee I found that the Cathedral reminded me of the church I remember the best while growing up. My wife and I have attended the cathedral while raising our seven children. We are all Minsters of Hospitality.
Chris is the current liaison to the Catholic East School. He is in the third year of his first term.
My family and I have been members of the Cathedral since 2003. I am a retired executive from Joy Global (now Komatsu Mining Corporation). I have been serving as a member of the committee that coordinates efforts with our sister parish in the Dominican Republic (La Sagrada Familia) since 2016. I was humbled to have been asked to serve on the Cathedral Pastoral Council in 2017. I look forward to helping the Cathedral grow and strengthen in all aspects so as to better know Christ and make Christ more known.
Mark currently serves on the Finance Council. He is in the third year of his first term.
