Item of the Week

Our parish contributes requested items to the Cathedral Open Door Café, Father Gene’s Help Center, and the Kinship Community Food Center at weekend masses.

On behalf of our community, thank you so much for your continued generosity!

Date and items to bring for Open Door Café:

October to November: Long socks, Hand and foot warmers, Warm hats, Gloves, Disposable rain ponchos, Long-sleeved shirts, Pants, Long underwear, Sweaters and hoodies, Shoes, Backpacks, Sleeping bags, Soup with pop-tops, and Hot Cocoa Mix.

Open Door Café is in substantial need of volunteers to help with clean up after lunch service from 12:30 to 1:30 PM, Sunday to Friday.

Date and items to bring for Father Gene’s Help Center:

October: Winter coats for men and kids; Winter hats and gloves or mittens for men, women, and kids (no scarves needed); Winter boots for men, women, and kids.

Date and items to bring for Kinship:

October 04: Hearty soups and stews, broths.

October 11: Cooking and olive oil.

October 18: Fruit cups and dried fruit (no cans, please).

October 25: Jarred tomato and pasta sauce.
