Cathedral & Old St. Mary Open for Prayer During Republican National Convention

by webadmin / Friday, June 28 2024 / Published in Uncategorized

A special message from our rector and pastor:

Dear Friends,

As the City of Milwaukee welcomes the Republican National Convention, the parishes of the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist and Old Saint Mary, closest to the event, will be the welcoming presence of Christ for Mass, prayer and eucharistic adoration.

Our sacred spaces (the Cathedral and Old Saint Mary) will be open from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm for the 4-day convention (July 15-18).

We need at least 5 people present in both spaces throughout the day. Would you or people you know be willing to help? If so, please sign up at the At Home with Christ Online Signup. Also, feel free to call Fr. Carlos for more information.

Mass Schedule, Monday, July 15 – Thursday, July 18 as follows:
7:00 am Old Saint Mary
12:05 pm Old Saint Mary
5:15 pm Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist

*Confessions are Monday and Tuesday at Old Saint Mary at 11:30 am
Wednesday and Thursday at the Cathedral at 4:30 pm

*All-day Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place at both churches, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm outside of Mass.

Thank you for helping us out as we all witness to Christ in prayer and worship.

Fr. Tim Kitzke
Rector and Pastor
