Item of the Week

Our parish contributes requested items to the Cathedral Open Door Café, Father Gene’s Help Center, and the Kinship Community Food Center at weekend masses.

On behalf of our community, thank you so much for your continued generosity!

Date and items to bring for Open Door Café:

June: Men’s and Women’s underwear (new), Men’s and Women’s shoes (new or like new), Backpacks, Umbrellas or ponchos (any size), Baseball hats, Large jars (64 oz) of creamy peanut butter and jelly, Loaves of bread (white or wheat, the shelf-stable variety), and Bus passes.

Open Door Café is in substantial need of volunteers to help with clean up after lunch service from 12:30 to 1:30 PM, Sunday to Friday.

Date and items to bring for Father Gene’s Help Center:

June: Men’s athletic shoes, men’s pants (jeans, joggers, sweatpants), men’s shirts (t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies), and men’s jackets of any kind.

Date and items to bring for Kinship:

June 07: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash.

June 14: Canned protein (tuna, salmon, etc.).

June 21: Cooking and olive oil.

June 28: Tomato and pasta sauce.
