The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist’s Ministry for Senior Adults is planned for Seniors ages 60 and older. It is called the SPARC program (Senior People are Really Cool!!!!!). The concept of the program is to gather our Senior Adults together to strengthen personal bonds with the Cathedral and to further our parish mission. This program is one where all members enjoy the company and friendship of others through religious, social, educational, and other activities.

SPARC Program Mission Statement

The intent of the program is to invite seniors in the community to come together to further the mission of the Cathedral, that is, to be a welcoming Eucharistic community committed to growing together as disciples of Jesus Christ. To serve as a beacon of faith and a haven and advocate for people who are poor and marginalized. To strengthen personal bonds with the Cathedral and with one another. This program is meant to be fun as well, where all members enjoy the company and friendship of others. We do envision a program with religious activities, social activities, and with an educational component supported by invited guest speakers.
